How much does building a new home cost per square foot?
It will depend on the house plans you choose and the construction materials you select for your Custom New Home Construction. For instance, formica versus granite counters, or carpet vs hardwood flooring. The number of bathrooms, kitchen upgrades, landscaping, the permitting jurisdiction and many other factors relating to your new home will all affect the per square foot cost. We are happy to provide you with a preliminary cost estimate based on your home plans or design ideas. Contact us for an individualized estimate.
How long does it take to build a house?
We will complete your new home within 6 to 7 months after we pour the foundation. Prior to pouring the foundation the plans must be chosen and submitted for Agency approval (City, County etc.) and permits issued. Additionally, if required, a grading permit must obtained. These steps add additional time depending on the complexity of your project and how many revisions, if any, are made.
I don’t have house plans yet, how do I get started?
We are happy to work with the architect of your choice. We have longstanding relationships with many local architects and can, if requested, provide references for an architect. Alternatively, we have in-house drafting and can implement your concepts and ideas for your new home.
Can you build on our lot?
We can build on your lot anywhere in the Greater Portland Metro area including Vancouver. Whether your lot is in the city, suburbs or country we are here for you. For infill or replacement homes, we can provide demolition of an existing home to make way for your new home.
Will you work with our bank?
Kopp Construction has worked with every major bank in Oregon on client construction loans. We are happy to work with the lender of your choice. If you need recommendations for a lender we can offer references.
